This page explains which cookies and similar techniques 22Academy uses. We use only what the site needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar technique: the site keeps a small piece of information in your browser, and it is not sent anywhere.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_logged_in and wordpress_sec | Keep you signed in after you log in. | Until you log out, or 14 days if you choose to stay signed in |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks on the login page that your browser accepts cookies. | Until you close the browser |
These cookies are necessary: without them you cannot log in or follow a course. They do not need your consent.
What we keep in your browser
Inside a course the site remembers a few of your own choices in local storage, so the course looks the same when you come back: whether the course index is folded, which parts of it you opened, whether you switched the AI explanations off, your position in a trial exam you are sitting, and a study session that is running. This stays in your browser. You can remove it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.
Payment
Payments are handled by Paddle, our payment provider and the seller of record. When you open the checkout, Paddle sets the cookies it needs to process your payment and to prevent fraud. Paddle’s own privacy notice and cookie policy apply to those.
Video
Course videos are played from Bunny, our video host. The player sets no cookies. It sends anonymous technical information, such as stream quality and buffering, to keep playback smooth.
Analytics and advertising
We do not use analytics cookies or advertising cookies, and we do not share data with advertising networks.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary cookies, you cannot log in.
